My grandma has been one of the strongest women I have ever encountered in my life. Aside legendary women heroes that marked our history, Aung San Suu Kyi is next in my most admired women’s list because of their wisdom and strength. My grandmother lists as third. She has taken care of my grandfather throughout his life up until his recent demise, to think that they were just two years apart in age.
Our family was devastated to get a phone call from her while she was in a police station. We rushed to the police station and found out that her home was broken into and that the culprit was already in custody. How could that have happened has a comedic turn. She said that she was just shouting at the top of her voice, trying to let the burglar just get out of the house. According to her, the burglar seemed to have hesitated coming up to the room sin the second level after she screamed she had security cameras in the house which she did not have at all. The culprit seemed agitated and went out the wrong way – right where my grandma’s Great Dane was waiting for the prey.
Before any other similar incidents had to happen, we decided to put up security systems around her house, for real. She can do all the shouting and her Great Dane can always rely on his pangs. But if seasoned were armed, it could turn out differently.
